Here are some common Texas Holdem poker probabilities of various scenarios, so you can understand your chances when trying to make a winning hand. The card pictures illustrate the hands and scenarios described.

Pot Odds: This refers to the price of a bet you must call to see the next street in a hand. If you have 25% equity, and your opponent makes a ½-pot bet, then you are getting precisely the right price to call to breakeven (as you’re getting 3 to 1 odds). The other approach is calculating the odds that you will win a certain hand. The second approach seems much more complex as you'd have to enter more data (how many players, etc.) I'm not asking that you write it for me, but some nudges in the right direction would help:-).

Our common flop odds chart shows the exact odds of flopping specific hand or draw types with various hole card groupings in Texas Holdem.

Remember that every mistake you make preflop will only be magnified on later streets. The chart below clearly shows that playing weak hole cards (for example three gapped connectors) will rarely give you the best hand on the flop.

This is why you should play only a narrow range of the best hole cards and fold everything else. It is especially important when you are a beginner. The more weak hands you play, the more money you will lose in the long term.
